Once you learn to pole the Flatstalker, you'll be able to take it out in windy conditions. You can pole a Flatstalker into a 30+ mph wind easily once you know how. Polling is much more efficient than paddling this boat, you should practice until you have it down.
Although the Flatstalker was not designed for rough conditions, it does take on chop surprisingly well though. Just keep your weight centered and when possible and keep the nose pointed into the swell.
Recommended trolling motor is the 12 volt Minn Kota Riptide 40 stern mount. Use a small 12 volt deep cycle wheel chair battery made by Interstate Batteries.
